Barney DeSimone's 1972 Norton
This 72 Norton project was done by Paul Ptak, BIR member #8 in Minnesota. Paul walked me through all the mods and upgrades now available to make a Norton as reliable and modern as possible.
We didn't leave much undone. Some of them include a Megacycles cam, Black Diamond valves, titanium valve springs, SPARX Ignition, Excel rims by Buchanan's Wheels, 34MM Mikuni carb, Norvil belt primary, Covenant fork mod, Progressive springs, Hagon shocks, Avon tires and some CNW body parts.There are too many details to list.
I couldn't be more pleased with the bike. It was a pleasure to work with Paul. He's a fine craftsman and a wonderful guy.
